DashPort is a tool to easily search for data across your
Axys® clients, groups, prices, performance, transactions and comments.
Some of this information can be searched and found by using
a report (standard or custom), however, this tool does not require rep and does
not use up a user license.
This read-only tool provides any user – be it the compliance
professional, operations guru or the portfolio manager – the ability to find information readily and
rapidly.
All the information found can be saved and viewed in Excel.
Finding Clients
The first tab of this tool allows users to find portfolio
information based on one or more criteria like the portfolio name, address,
city, state or inception date.
Partial information specification is sufficient to find the
complete data. For example, one could specify ‘ann’ in the name field in figure
1 to find “Roseanne Ross’s Roth IRA”
The results displayed in the list view show the client file
name, client full name, inception date, address, city, state and the last time
the client file was updated.
The user can drag the column header field and drop it to any
position in the result view to reorder the columns.
The save button allows saving a CSV version of the data
being displayed. This CSV data can be viewed in Excel.

Finding Clients in
Groups
If you have too many groups and don’t remember all the group
files in which a client name exists, this tab will be of great use to you.
Find a client in all
groups
When you specify a complete or part of a client file name,
you will be presented with all the group files in your system that have the
matching clients.
The result pane shows the last time the group file was updated.
It lists the group file name and the matching client file name.
Finding Transactions
in Clients or Groups
What if you want to find all the clients that bought or sold
a security within a time frame – something we need to do when there are class
action suits? Or find all the portfolios that hold a certain asset class? Do
you want to know who deposited/withdrew cash recently? Curious to know if
multiple clients bought the same security on the same day? You can do this and
much more using the transactions tab seen below.
Peeking through
transactions
The tool searches through all clients or those in a specific
group. The search criteria include transaction types, comments or comment
fragments, trade dates (specific trade date, before/after a specific date or
between a range of dates), security types, or symbol.
What you see in the results is the client file name, trade
date, transaction type, security type, symbol, trade quantity and amount.
Searching through Prices
To find if a security has a price defined for a date range
necessitates you to open each price file in the date range and manually locate
the security—a time consuming task.
With the tab named Prices in the tool shown below, you can
easily get that data with just a few keystrokes!
For a range of dates, you can locate the price for a
security type or symbol. You can also specify if the price is greater than,
less than, equal to or >=/<= a specific value in your search criteria.

Looking for Performance
If you have updated performance files or want to find out if
they are updated to a certain date or for a certain set of portfolios, you can use
the performance tab seen below.
While looking for performance details, you can limit your
search on:
- an asset class or total portfolio
- a date range, specific date, before or after a certain date
- client file or a group of clients
- Market value >, <, =, >= or <= a certain number
- IRR >, <, =, >= or <= a certain number
The results displayed are all the fields in the PRF file.
